Motorsport UK
Motorsport UK, the governing body for four-wheeled motorsport in the United Kingdom, has launched a dedicated streaming platform.
Contract:
- Motorsport UK TV will provide a combination of national competition live streams and highlight videos
- Content offering includes a series of Motorsport UK webinars, videos from British championships, as well as training and circuit guides
- Will eventually feature original content such as interviews, fitness masterclasses, technical guides, behind-the-scenes videos, plus equipment ‘unboxings’ and explanations
- Motorsport UK TV positioned as a single destination for motorsport fans to access video content across multiple disciplines, such as British F4, British Rallycross and British GT
Context: The platform has been inspired by the Global Cycling Network, which has become the go-to platform for all cycling-related video content.
Comment: Hugh Chambers, chief executive of Motorsport UK, said: “Motorsport UK TV is an exciting new internet platform that will bring our community even closer to every aspect of motorsport via the most dynamic media out there: video. We are thrilled to launch this breakthrough offering, which we hope will inspire and educate both existing and new motorsport fans. We think this will be a game-changer for the way fans and participants find and enjoy their motorsport content, while also extending the appeal of motorsport to newcomers.”
Coming next: This year alone, Motorsport UK TV is planned to include close to 175 livestreams, with all content being edited and managed by the communications team at Motorsport UK.
