MotoGP and FanCode have agreed a three-year contract for the exclusive digital streaming rights to the series in India.

Contract:

  • FanCode will stream every sprint and Grand Prix session live
  • The platform will also offer exclusive highlights and behind-the-scenes content

Context:

Since the Indian Grand Prix debuted in 2023, MotoGP has experienced a significant rise in popularity in India. The series estimates the motorsport audience in the country has grown by more than 30 per cent in the last five years. The first Indian Grand Prix also attracted over 100,000 spectators, although financial difficulties have seen both the 2024 and 2025 editions of the event postponed.

This streaming rights deal, which sees FanCode replace Viacom18, lines up with the three-year contract that was signed for the Indian Grand Prix to join the MotoGP calendar and sits alongside Eurosport India’s linear media rights agreement signed in August last year. This deal also sees FanCode establish itself as a destination for motorsport fans in India, having signed a two-year media rights pact with Formula One at the start of last season.

Comment:

“We are thrilled to announce our partnership with FanCode as the exclusive digital partner for MotoGP in India,” said Alex Arroyo, head of media rights at MotoGP rights holder Dorna Sports.

“India is a key market for us in terms of the fanbase and audience, and for our factories who race in the sport. This collaboration marks an exciting milestone in bringing the adrenaline-fueled action of MotoGP closer to our passionate Indian fans.

“With FanCode’s extensive reach and commitment to delivering world-class sports coverage, we are confident that this partnership will create an amazing MotoGP experience for millions across the country.”

Coming next:

This deal gets underway with the start of the 2025 MotoGP season, taking place at the Chang International Circuit in Thailand from 28th February to 2nd March.
