Motocross signs three-year extension with Sport & Events Logistics

Off-road motorcycle series expands deal to include travel agency partnership.

Infront Moto Racing, the rights holder of the Motocross (MXGP) championship, has signed a three-year extension with Sport & Events Logistics (SEL).

Contract:

  • SEL will act as official carrier and travel agency partner
  • The agreement marks 22 years of partnership

Context: The three-year contract extension marks 22 years of partnership between MXGP and SEL. It is a continuation of SEL's previous role as official carrier for the championship, handling its logistics operations for overseas events. Its role as official travel agency is an additional role, where the company will assist MXGP in the booking of flights, transport and accommodation for all non-EU events.

Comment: David Luongo, chief executive of Infront Moto Racing, said: “SEL has been next to us for many years and they have been a very important stakeholder of the worldwide development of MXGP. The logistics behind an overseas event is very complex and SEL has always found the best and the most efficient solution to facilitate our travel around the world.”

Coming next: The provisional calendar sees SEL thrown into action immediately, with the season-opening race in Villa la Angostura in Argentina on 12th March.
