More than Equal, an independent global motorsport initiative formed to find and develop the first female Formula One world champion, has appointed Tom Stanton as its new chief executive.
Confirmed:
- Stanton is promoted from his role as head of driver development
- Lauren Forrow to replace Stanton in his previous role
Context:
Stanton succeeds Ali Donnelly as chief executive, who departed the organisation when she joined the Rugby Football Union (RFU) in November 2024. Since Donnelly’s departure, More than Equal has gone on to sign a collaboration with F1 Academy to accelerate the development of female talent in motorsport.
Forrow has worked with More than Equal on a consultancy basis since January, having previously worked for British Cycling and England Netball. She represented More than Equal at the Forbes Women’s Summit in Prague earlier this year and will now serve full-time as the head of driver development.
Comment:
“I’m incredibly proud to step into this role at such a pivotal time for More than Equal,” said Stanton. “We’ve laid strong foundations – and now, with renewed energy and clarity of purpose, we’re ready to scale our efforts and accelerate our mission. There’s never been a better moment to change the face of motorsport.”
“It’s a privilege to lead the next phase of our driver development programme,” said Forrow. “Female drivers face distinct structural and developmental barriers in motorsport, and our approach is designed to address those with evidence-based, high-performance solutions. From programme design to on-track preparation, our focus is on equipping female athletes with the skills, experience, and support they need to compete – and win – at the highest level.”
Coming next:
Stanton will be tasked with guiding More than Equal through the next phase of its growth, with a focus on performance, strategic partnerships and impacting the highest level of global motorsport.
