- Deal covers 2022 Nascar season
Michael Jordan-owned Nascar Cup Series team 23XI Racing have announced a new partnership with breakfast cereal brand Wheaties for the 2022 season.
The sponsorship agreement covers 23XI Racing driver Bubba Wallace, whose car will receive Wheaties branding for the duration of the 2022 campaign.
In addition, National Basketball Association (NBA) icon Jordan will feature on a special 100th anniversary celebration box of Wheaties as part of a year-long commemoration.
Wallace will be present at a celebration on 14th December, delivering special-edition boxes of Wheaties to Jordan, athletes and his friends via a replica Wheaties-branded Toyota Camry.
"To be able to honour MJ [Michael Jordan] as part of the Wheaties 100th anniversary celebration and have Wheaties join the 23XI Racing family is special for our team," said Wallace.
"When you think of greatness, you think of Michael Jordan and his drive for excellence both on and off the court. His competitive nature and determination motivate me in my career every day. It is an honour of a lifetime to drive for MJ and rep the number 23, a number that is such a big part of his legacy."
