Mercedes, the Formula One motor racing team, have partnered with Police, which will see the designer eyewear brand become an official supplier to the current world champions.
The agreement with Police will see it supply sunglasses and optical frames to Mercedes’ drivers, Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas, and the rest of the Formula One team.
The brand logo will feature on the visor of both drivers’ helmets, as well as in the team garage.
The partnership will also see Hamilton, the five-time and defending drivers champion, collaborate with Police to design a new eyewear collection and act as a brand ambassador. Hamilton already has a fashion collection with renowned designer Tommy Hilfiger which launched in 2018.

“This partnership demonstrates the growing interest of lifestyle brands in the team, which underlines the great appeal of Formula One as a marketing platform.”

On the track, Mercedes have made a commanding start to the 2019 F1 season, winning the six opening races and leading both the drivers and constructors standings.
