Formula One team McLaren Racing have announced a partnership with the Coca-Cola Company for the 2019 season.
The deal will see the British team activate with a number of Coca-Cola’s brands over the coming year and follows a successful pilot from last season.
Coca-Cola’s branding on the McLaren cars during the US, Mexican, Brazilian and Abu Dhabi Grands Prix marked the first time that the company’s branding had been carried on a Formula One car.
As part of the renewed deal, throughout the season Coca-Cola will develop consumer events, online promotions and communications in line with McLaren Racing.
“There was a positive reaction to our 2018 debut as partners and I’m looking forward to us exploring the full potential of this partnership over the coming season,” said McLaren’s chief executive officer, Zak Brown.
Ricardo Fort, vice president of sports and entertainment partnerships at Coca-Cola, added: “We are excited to extend and expand our relationship with McLaren for the 2019 racing season. Sponsoring McLaren will allow us to create unique consumer experiences around the world.”
