Formula One team McLaren Racing have signed a long-term partnership deal with Turkish cryptocurrency platform Bitci.com.

The pair are set to launch their own exclusive fan token, the first of its kind in Formula One. The token will be available to use on Bitci Chain, Turkey's first native blockchain platform.

In addition, Bitci.com branding will feature on the teams' cars as well as on the helmets of drivers Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo.

"This long-term partnership with the brand and our introduction of a fan token will be the first of its kind in this sport," said Mark Waller, chief commercial officer at McLaren Racing.

"We look forward to working with Bitci.com and seeing the brand for the first time on the MCL35M at the start of the 2021 Formula One season in Bahrain this weekend."
