Lusail International Circuit in Qatar has signed a ticketing partnership with cloud-based events platform Secutix.
Confirmed:
- Secutix to gradually bring all ticketing under cloud-based platform
- Company’s 3D-mapping technology to give fans immersive map when purchasing tickets
- ‘Tixngo’ solution will deliver tickets in the first instance and then other digital assets in future
Context:
This deal follows a similar deal that Secutix agreed with Silverstone last year, with the cloud-based events platform signing a five-year contract.
Comment:
Amro Al-Hamad, chief executive of Lusail International Circuit, said: “We appointed Secutix because we wanted a technology partner with significant experience in managing tickets for sports events. Working together, we will develop a strong digital platform to provide seamless services to our customers and enhance our fan experience.”
Coming next:
The first event using the ticketing solution will be Formula One’s Qatar Grand Prix in October, followed by MotoGP’s Grand Prix of Qatar in November.
