- Liqui Moly to provide series with technical support
- Company already sponsors MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3
The Motocross World Championship (MXGP) has announced a new partnership with German oil firm Liqui Moly.
As part of the deal, Liqui Moly will take on the role of exclusive lubricant partner of MXGP, as well as the Motocross of Nations (MXoN) race and the Snowcross World Championship (SNX).
In addition, Liqui Moly will take on the role of title sponsor for all MXGP races in Germany and will also provide the series with technical support.
This partnership comes as an expansion to Liqui Moly's motorcycling portfolio, as the company already sponsors MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3.
"This makes Liqui Moly a strong partner who will also provide us with important technological support," said David Luongo, chief executive of Infront Moto Racing, which is responsible for promoting MXGP.
"We look forward to benefiting from the expertise of this oil specialist."
Peter Baumann, marketing director of Liqui Moly, added: "Motorbike fans already know us from MotoGP, where we have been the official oil supplier for all teams in Moto2 and Moto3 for many years. Enduro fans also know who we are from our cooperation with Betamotors.
"By showing our commitment to MXGP, MXoN and SNX, we want to specifically target the off-road sector and make them curious about our tailor-made products."
