American open wheel racing series IndyCar has agreed a multi-year partnership with Racing Optics.

Racing Optics manufacturers multi-layered laminated tear-offs used on the aeroscreen safety device on every IndyCar vehicle, and will provide them to the series and teams for the duration of the deal.

They ensure improved visibility during races, as the layers of the tear-off can be removed at every pit stop.

Additionally, many IndyCar drivers also use Racing Optics' tear-offs on their helmets.

"Racing Optics has been an integral partner to IndyCar," said Jay Frye, series president.

"During the development of the aeroscreen, they provided essential feedback, direction and a great product to ensure visibility while avoiding distortion for our drivers."

The 2021 IndyCar season continues on 12th and 13th June with the Chevrolet Detroit Grands Prix.
