Electric single seater series Formula E has announced a new influencer collective, known as 'The Offset' in order to boost its brand across social media channels.
50 creators from different backgrounds will be part of the group, which aims to draw new fans to the series. 25 UK-based influencers have been confirmed, boasting a combined Instagram following of 7.6 million.
The series has plans to expand to reach other international markets in the future.
At launch, The Offset includes names such as presenter Josh Denzel, supercar vlogger Schmee150, Ru Paul's Drag Race UK finalist Bimini Bon Boulash and YouTuber Joe Weller. The full list is available here.
Formula E has chosen the diverse range of influencers to attract Gen Z fans from a variety of backgrounds whilst promoting the series' sustainable core message.
"Formula E was founded to catalyse positive change, attracting fans by combining intense and unpredictable all-electric street racing with a higher purpose as we race for better futures," said Katie Traxton, chief communications officer at Formula E.
"The Offset is a unique, original and influential tribe of advocates, headed up by recognisable Gen Z cultural icons. Starting now, we will work together over the long-term to open a dialogue with new audiences and inspire the next generation of fans who want edge-of-seat sporting action without compromising on their values.”
The 2021 Formula E season continues on 24th April in Valencia, Spain.
