Formula E has signed a multi-year extension with SpoTV to air the all-electric series in selected markets in the APAC region.
Confirmed:
- Contract with Eclat Media Group covers Hong Kong, Indonesia, Macau, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea and Vietnam
- Hackett London also signs on as official apparel provider for the 2024 season
Context:
Eclat Media Group, which is based in South Korea, originally signed its deal with Formula E at the start of the 2022 season. This contract covered more territories, although it included non-exclusive rights in Indonesia and South Korea. This repositioning highlights a new approach for the all-electric series in the APAC region, focusing on a smaller group of more engaged territories.
Hackett London signs on for the 2024 season, which is a tentative first step into the world of sport for a brand that only launched its Hackett Sport range earlier this year.
Comment:
Aarti Dabas, chief media officer of Formula E, said: “Eclat has been a fantastic media partner and a key contributor to our live audience record breaking last season. We have a great relationship with Mitch, CK and their teams and are delighted to renew our partnership with SpoTV.”
Coming next:
Both deals kick off from the start of the 2024 season, which gets underway in Mexico City on 13th January.
