Wire and cable provider expands collaboration with all-electric series.

Formula E has announced its official wire and cable provider Southwire will expand its collaboration with the all-electric series as the new title sponsor of the inaugural Portland round.

  • Race marks the US debut of the new Gen3 cars

Context: Earlier this month, Formula E announced a strategic collaboration with Southwire, with the company becoming the official wire and cable provider for the all-electric series. This move represents an expansion of this collaboration, with the Georgia-based company sponsoring Formula E's first visit to Portland.

Comment: Matt Scammell, chief commercial officer of Formula E, said: “We are excited that Southwire is strengthening its relationship with the series to become title sponsor of a new race in the key US market. Our partnership is based on positive shared beliefs and values and we are looking forward to exploring new ways to collaborate in an exciting future.”

Coming next: The Portland E-Prix takes place on 24th June, but Formula E returns for its next round with a double-header event in Berlin on 22nd and 23rd April.
