All-electric racing series Formula E has signed a multi-year extension with long-term partner Julius Baer that will see the banking corporation remain a partner until 2026.

Julius Baer was one of Formula E's founding partners upon its inception in 2014, and it will now expand its role by becoming title sponsor of the São Paulo round on 25th March.

The Brazilian city joins Hyderabad and Cape Town as new host cities on the Formula E calendar for season nine, with the latter being announced on 20th October.

“As one of Formula E’s founding partners since 2014, it should come as no surprise that we remain enthusiastic about the success of our engagement with the all-electric series,” said Julius Baer chief executive Philipp Rickenbacher.

“We are united with Formula E by a pioneering spirit and an interest in the innovations and megatrends that are shaping our future.”

Jamie Reigle, chief executive of Formula E, added: “Julius Baer has been a valued global partner of Formula E since the beginning and we are delighted this will continue with a multi-year extension through the Gen3 era.

“Together, we remain committed to accelerating change towards an electric future and will be collaborating on a global scale across our races to bring that mission to life.”
