The all-electric Formula E series has announced energy transition and decarbonisation company Greenko as title partner of the upcoming Hyderabad ePrix in India.

Context: Greenko is headquartered in Hyderabad and secures title sponsorship of the first all-electric series race in India.
Comment: Anil Chalamalasetty, founder of Greenko Group, said: “We are committed to combating climate change and lead the way for global decarbonisation. Greenko will be powering the entire 2023 Greenko Hyderabad ePrix event with renewable energy, making it first of its kind net zero event in the world on this scale.”
Consequence: Being described as the first net zero event at this scale highlights the size of the task being undertaken by Greenko. It also emphasises the steps being taken by the country for a greener future, as India has been reported by IQ Air to have 35 of the 50 most polluted cities in the world.
