Four-time Formula One world champion Sebastian Vettel has partnered with P1 Fuels to run sustainable fuels during his outings at Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Confirmed:
- Vettel only agreed to appear at Goodwood if he could use synthetic fuels
- P1 Fuels’ 100 per cent fossil-free fuel is a direct replacement for petrol
Context: P1 Fuels has supplied the World Rally Championship (WRC) with 100 per cent sustainable fuels since 2022, which lines up with Vettel’s environmentally conscious approach that became increasingly apparent towards the end of his Formula One career.
Comment: Vettel said: “Synthetic fuels offer a solution to having fun, responsibly. A lot of people just don't know that yet. It took me a long time to find a partner [P1 Fuels] that aligned with my beliefs on sustainable fuels, could deliver a direct replacement, and who also was commercially ready and viable to deliver that fuel. That’s why I’ve chosen P1 Fuels.”
Coming next: The Goodwood Festival of Speed takes place from 13th to 16th July, and Vettel will drive his prized McLaren and Williams cars on the iconic Hillclimb.
