The Red Bull Formula One team and payments giant Visa have announced an expanded partnership ahead of this weekend’s Monaco Grand Prix.

Contract:

  • Visa to receive more prominent branding on the front wing of the Red Bull car
  • Payments provider will also promote its Visa Infinite brand on driver polos and the car’s halo at key race weekends

Context:

Visa is most known in the world of Formula One for its title partnership of Red Bull’s second team, Racing Bulls, which it holds in partnership with Cash App. It has also been a partner of the main Red Bull team during that time.

Upgrading its partnership with the main team comes as the company relaunches its Visa Infinite product, its top-tier offering to members. Pairing with the best team and driver combination over the last few years in Formula One is an easy marketing ploy to push the premium feel of this product.

Comment:

“Visa has been a fantastic team partner, and we are thrilled to continue our valued partnership in an enhanced capacity from Monaco onwards,” said Christian Horner, team principal and chief executive of Red Bull Racing.

“We are proud of the long-term and trusted partner relationships that we’ve built with some of the world’s largest brands that have become part of our loyal family of partners.

“This increased commitment further shows the trust in the culture and performance that Oracle Red Bull Racing is producing both on and off the track. It will be great to see the Visa front wing branding roll out in Monaco for the first time and continue throughout the season.”

Coming next:

The official release states that the Visa Infinite brand will be promoted at ‘key races’ for the rest of the Formula One season. Despite missing the first seven events of 2025, Visa will still be able to target races in Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and North and South America by the time the Formula One season concludes in Abu Dhabi in December.
