The Formula One global motorsport series has signed a helmet camera technology agreeement with Racing Force Group, following various trials last season.
- All 20 drivers will be required to carry a 1.43g camera in their helmets
- The 8mm-wide camera allows the audience to see from the perspective of the driver
Context: The Italian company trialled the broadcast technology at various events last season, as seen regularly on Sky Sports' coverage of Formula One, but now all 20 drivers will be required to carry the device for the 2023 season.
Coming next: The cameras will be in action for the first time in 2023 on 5th March at the Bahrain Grand Prix.
