Extreme E taps WSC Sports to upgrade video content

Extreme E

  • WSC Sports to give Extreme E access to Clipro platform
  • Extreme E to utilise WSC Sports' graphics engine

Electric SUV series Extreme E is set to enter a partnership with sports video technology company WSC Sports.

The deal will start from the series' upcoming Ocean X Prix in Senegal on 29th and 30th May, then continue for the duration of the 2021 season.

WSC Sports will give Extreme E access to its live-clipping platform Clipro, allowing the series to create near live session highlights in a few seconds. WSC Sports' graphics engine will also be at Extreme E's disposal during the partnership.

In addition, WSC Sports will help Extreme E distribute these highlights to the series' media partners and drivers' social channels.

"It is really important for us to share the action with our fans as soon as possible as they won’t be watching the races on site," said Ali Russell, chief marketing officer at Extreme E.

"This partnership with WSC Sports not only allows us to share content quickly, but with some really interesting graphics and overlays, which I’m sure will appeal to our global audience."
