Electric off-road SUV championship Extreme E has agreed a broadcast partnership with SBS in Australia.
Contract:
- Exclusive coverage of the championship includes both free-to-air (FTA) and digital platforms
- The contract covers the rest of the 2024 season
Context:
The contract only covers the six remaining races of the year, although this is likely to mark the series’ transition to Extreme H from next season. Linear broadcasts on public service broadcaster SBS will be complemented by streaming platform SBS On Demand, which will ensure races can be watched at any time.
Comment:
Ali Russell, managing director of Extreme E, said: “We are excited to announce our partnership with SBS, a leader in delivering diverse and high-quality content to Australian audiences. This new collaboration is crucial for our reach and engagement in Australia, and we hope that our dedicated fanbase across the country enjoys our action-packed motorsport series.”
Coming next:
Extreme E’s next event is in Italy, with four races over the span of just one week. Part one of the Island X Prix takes place from 14th to 15th September, before the second pair of races a week later.
