- Fans can win access to live Q&A sessions
- Fan World to introduce virtual signed driver cards
- Initiative aims to help fans connect with the series
Electric SUV series Extreme E has launched a new virtual Fan World engagement platform, ahead of its upcoming Ocean X Prix in Senegal.
In order to reach its goals of carbon neutrality, Extreme E wants to minimise fan attendance at its events. Therefore, the series is turning to digital platforms to connect with fans around the world.
Fan World provides users access to drivers' onboard cameras, as well as competitions, with select users winning entry to live Q&A sessions.
Additionally, there are also opportunities for fans to secure virtual signed driver autograph cards.
"I think this new initiative is going to excite fans and give them new ways to engage with Extreme E," said Ali Russell, chief marketing officer at Extreme E.
"We saw a huge appetite for the series from the Desert X Prix and I hope this will continue to grow throughout Season One. Fan World brings all the action to homes of people that enjoy our sport and brings them closer to the racing."
