eSkootr signs MSM commercial rights deal

Agency will market the electric scooter championship's global commercial rights.

The eSkootr Championship (eSC) has signed a partnership with Mountstephens Sports Marketing (MSM) that will see the agency market the global commerical rights for the electric scooter championship.

eSC is a new sport and the first inclusive racing series inspiring a new movement for safer, sustainable, and more liveable cities. MSM said it will seek out partnerships with brands that are focused on inclusivity, accessibility and sustainability.

“We are thrilled to partner with the [eSC], who have blown us away with their ambition and plans for growing the series,” said Justin Mountstephens, president and chief executive of MSM.

“Since I started my agency, we have enjoyed helping sports and entertainment brands focused on male and female participation with marketing their commercial properties.

“Sustainability and technology are areas I am deeply passionate about since launching a green motor show in 2011 at Battersea Power Station, to developing partnerships alongside Williams Advanced Engineering [WAE] during my time at Williams Racing Formula One Team.

“WAE has subsequently developed the recyclable custom designed battery pack for the eSkootr Championship.”

Richard Norton, head of commercial and marketing at eSC, added: “We are delighted to partner with MSM to collaborate on growing the eSC portfolio of partners.

“eSC is a value-driven racing series focused on inclusivity, sustainability and accessibility and it was clear from the outset that MSM shared our ambition to communicate this brand narrative and create unique activation opportunities.”
