Eleven Sports has secured the exclusive rights in Poland to broadcast Swedish speedway series Bauhaus-Ligan for the next two seasons.

The subscription sports broadcaster’s coverage began on 1st June, featuring Polish riders Bartosz Zmarzlik, Krzysztof Kasprzak, Patryk Dudek and Maciej Janowski.

The deal adds coverage of Bauhaus-Ligan to Eleven Poland’s existing broadcast deal with Polish motorcycle competition Speedway Ekstraliga, giving Polish fans access to speedway racing three times a week on the channel.

In addition, Eleven Poland has the rights to broadcast Formula One in the country, in a deal set to last until 2022.

Speedway racing is one of Poland's most popular sports, with the top division Polish Ekstraliga boasting the highest average attendance for any sport in the country.

"Top level speedway is very popular in Poland and the Swedish league will be an important reinforcement of our programming offer," said Patryk Mirosławski, the chief operating officer at Eleven Poland.

"When combined with PGE Ekstraliga, we will now be able to offer speedway to our viewers on three evenings each week of the regular season.”
