COTA names Michael Kirschner as a senior vice-president

Experienced executive will seek to introduce new revenue generating initiatives.

The Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin has announced Michael Kirschner as the senior vice president of strategy and business development.

He will be dedicated to COTA's revenue generating initiatives, including sponsorship, track rentals, and new business development.

Kirschner's hiring comes as the circuit, which hosts global motorsport series like Formula One and MotoGP, implements a plan of strategic internal growth and overall expansion.

The American has more than 20 years of sales, marketing, and business development experience, with his previous work including the National Basketball Association (NBA), Madison Square Garden (MSG), and the Chicago Cubs in Major League Baseball (MLB).

“Adding Michael's extensive experience as a consummate deal-maker across major league sports is another step in the accelerating growth of COTA's business,” said COTA chairman Bobby Epstein.

“He's a tremendous addition to our senior management team and we look forward to his contributions.”
