Aston Martin F1 continues BWT collaboration

Aston Martin Cognizant

  • Partnership designed to help Aston Martin cut down on plastic waste
  • Aston Martin also announces Peroni Libera 0.0% deal

Formula One team Aston Martin Cognizant will continue their partnership with Best Water Technology (BWT) after signing a multi-year renewal.

The Austrian water treatment technology company has worked with the team since 2017, when it was known as Force India and then Racing Point, featuring a striking pink livery.

Unlike last season, BWT will not assume the role of title sponsor for Aston Martin but will support the team in a lesser capacity.

As part of the deal, BWT accents and logos will appear on Aston Martin's 2021 challenger, which is set to be revealed on 3rd March. BWT will also work with the team to promote sustainability and cut down on plastic waste.

"BWT will support our efforts to become more sustainable in all areas of the business, but especially in our trackside operations – a goal that marries up with Formula One’s own sustainability objectives," Otmar Szafnauer, Aston Martin team principal, said in a statement.

"This is a strong and historic partnership entering an important new era, and we are all excited to see what we can achieve together."

Elsewhere, Aston Martin have announced a long-term multi-year partnership with non-alcoholic beer Peroni Libera 0.0%.

The beverage will be served at the team's motorhome during most Grands Prix and at some external events, including city centre activations.

Peroni Libera 0.0% will also assist Aston Martin in the creation of a new content campaign featuring drivers Sebastian Vettel and Lance Stroll.

In return, the brand will receive branding on Aston Martin's car livery and team kits for the duration of the sponsorship.

The 2021 Formula One season begins on 26th March at Bahrain International Circuit.
