The Alpine Formula One team have signed a multi-year deal with Qatar Airways.
Confirmed:
- Official airline partnership includes branding on the driver helmets and caps for the Qatar Grand Prix
- Agreement will focus specifically on promoting this year’s race in Qatar
Context:
This deal comes off the back of the airline agreeing a multi-year deal to be Formula One’s airline partner, replacing the long-running Emirates deal reportedly worth US$25 million per year.
Comment:
David Gendry, Alpine's vice president, sponsorship, partnerships and communications, said: “Both Alpine and Qatar Airways share the common objectives of a sustainable future and the use of sustainable fuels, in line with Formula One’s goal of becoming net zero by 2030.
“We look forward to a close collaboration that represents a unique opportunity for Alpine to further strengthen its presence in Qatar and to connect with fans in the region. The entire team is very much looking forward to visiting Qatar at the beginning of October for the Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix 2023.”
