The Alpine Formula One team have agreed a contract extension with The Venetian Resort for this year’s Las Vegas Grand Prix.
Contract:
- The Venetian Resort continues as the team’s official casino partner and regional partner in Las Vegas
- The company is offering racetrack view suites through the partnership, as well as numerous activations throughout the weekend
- Alpine have also appointed David Sanchez as executive technical director
Context:
Despite an underwhelming start to the season, Alpine will be pleased that they are able to secure commercial extensions, especially around such a big event. The inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix was one of the biggest events in Formula One history, with hospitality packages reportedly on offer for US$1 million.
In other news, Sanchez joins the team following his swift departure from McLaren, having found the role “was not aligned with the reality of the position I found”.
Comment:
“We are absolutely delighted to continue our journey with The Venetian Resort Las Vegas following on from an amazing first year partnership,” said David Gendry, chief commercial officer for the Alpine Formula One team and vice president of communications for Alpine brand.
“It was thrilling for the entire BWT Alpine F1 Team to stay at The Venetian Resort during race week last November and to be doing so again this year. Together we are working hard to prepare the 2024 edition of the Grand Prix week with The Venetian Resort Las Vegas, and we can’t wait to share these plans with all the fans.”
Coming next:
This announcement comes ahead of the first US race of the season, with the Miami Grand Prix taking place from 3rd to 5th May.
