Alpine F1 agree extension with The Venetian Resort for Las Vegas GP

The Alpine Formula One team have agreed a contract extension with The Venetian Resort for this year’s Las Vegas Grand Prix.

Contract:

• The Venetian Resort continues as the team’s official casino partner and regional partner in Las Vegas
• The company is offering racetrack view suites through the partnership, as well as numerous activations throughout the weekend
• Alpine have also appointed David Sanchez as executive technical director

Context:

Despite an underwhelming start to the season, Alpine will be pleased that they are able to secure commercial extensions, especially around such a big event. The inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix was one of the biggest events in Formula One history, with hospitality packages reportedly on offer for US$1 million.

In other news, Sanchez joins the team following his swift departure from McLaren, having found the role “was not aligned with the reality of the position I found”.

This announcement comes ahead of the first US race of the season, with the Miami Grand Prix taking place from 3rd to 5th May.
