AlphaTauri F1 team extend FlexBox partnership

Company promoted Ziba Foods brand through last year's partnership.

The AlphaTauri Formula One team have extended their partnership with FlexBox for a second season.

Contract:

  • FlexBox to aid Faenza-based team's logistics plan
  • Ziba Foods took up the inventory through last year's partnership

Context: Having promoted Ziba Foods, a US-based artisanal food brand, last season, FlexBox extends its partnership with AlphaTauri into a second season and will look to support the implementation of the team's 2023 logistics plan. The main goal will be to convert air freight usage to sea freight shipments as often as possible.

Comment: Marco Perrone, AlphaTauri’s head of sporting direction, said: “With 23 races on the calendar, both the physical movements of the team’s freight and the financial implications of this in the cost-cap era mean that we need to have a better understanding of each shipment that we make. Therefore, we have enlisted the expertise of FlexBox in a key advisor capacity. Furthermore, this will allow us to lessen the carbon impact of our logistics and achieve the team’s sustainability goals.”

Coming next: The return of Formula One is now less than a month away, with the Bahrain Grand Prix on 5th March. FlexBox's branding, however, will be visible on the new AlphaTauri car when it is unveiled in New York on 11th February.
