The Alfa Romeo Formula One team have announced a multi-year deal with network intelligence company Path Network, which will see the company help protect the team’s network infrastructure, both on and off the track.

In a fast-paced, data-driven environment such as motorsport, so much is at stake with split-second decisions. The US-based network intelligence expert will provide this safety and reliability to the team, thanks to its leading expertise and global reach – letting the team focus on delivering the best results.

Path Network branding will be visible on the bodywork of the Alfa Romeo cars and on other team assets.

“There are few activities on the planet as fast-paced and reliant on data as Formula One: every lap, massive amounts of information are beamed back to the garage, and from there on to our HQ in Switzerland,” said Frédéric Vasseur, team principal of Alfa Romeo.

“Ensuring that this network is safe and protected is hugely important to us, and Path Network guarantees our work is in safe hands – wherever we are in the world.

“We are delighted to be working with them and we are looking forward to making the most of the network they protect in our pursuit of success.”

“We are thrilled to be partnering with such a prestigious team as Alfa Romeo F1 Team Orlen. Formula One is a high-tech sport that relies on digital solutions, and it's important that the team's data is secure,” added Marshal Webb, chief executive of Path Network.

“Path Network's platform will help ensure that the team's data is protected at all times. Our cutting-edge cybersecurity network will help the team to focus on what they do best - winning.”
