Alfa Romeo F1 team extends Marelli partnership

Agreement follows deal signed last week with Corinthian Re.

The Alfa Romeo Formula One team have extended their partnership with Marelli and signed a new deal with Corinthian Re, a specialty collateralised reinsurance company.

Contract:

  • Marelli contract will run for 'several years'
  • Company logo to be visible on top of the chassis
  • Corinthian Re to receive branding on rear wing end plates

Context: Marelli, which first partnered with Alfa Romeo back in 2019, will continue to supply drivers Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu with its products. Corinthian Re, meanwhile, will look to utilise the partnership to broaden its presence in the European, Asian, and Australian markets.

Comment: Alessandro Alunni Bravi, team representative of Alfa Romeo, said: “We are delighted to continue our partnership with Marelli, a dedicated technology partner of our team for several years. With a longstanding motorsport heritage, experience in racing and an undeniable passion for competition, Marelli’s values are akin to our own. We have been using their products, a guarantee of excellence, for a number of years now, and they are perfectly integrated within our cars. We are looking forward to working with them this season.”

Coming next: The Marelli and Corinthian Re branding will be visible when Alfa Romeo return to the track this weekend for the season-opening Bahrain Grand Prix on 5th March.
