- Acer will provide Sauber Motorsport with a range of technology
- Renewal includes marketing activation featuring driver Kimi Raikkonen
Sauber Motorsport, the manager and operator of the Alfa Romeo Racing Formula One team, has extended its partnership with electronics company Acer.
The one-year renewal will see the firm provide the team with a range of hardware such as laptops, tablets, computers and monitors for use in all aspects of car design and racing.
New Acer technology will be used trackside and at the team's home in Hinwil, Switzerland, while the Taiwanese company is also planning marketing activations featuring Alfa Romeo driver Kimi Raikkonen.
Key members of Sauber Motorsport will also receive advanced tablets to aid connectivity, collaboration and productivity.
"Our work together in 2020 highlighted the synergies between the world of high-end information technology and motorsport – both are highly competitive environments in which the pursuit of performance is the constant objective and in which every day opens new possibilities of development," said Frédéric Vasseur, Alfa Romeo team principal and chief executive of Sauber Motorsport.
“Working together in 2021 is a natural result of this and we are looking forward to sharing a successful season together.”
The 2021 Formula One season begins on 26th March at Bahrain International Circuit.
