Global Fan Network founder partners with PlanetF1.com.

Global Fan Network (GFN) founder Robbie Lyle is partnering with PlanetF1.com to launch a new Formula One channel.

Confirmed:

  • GFN will produce AFTV-style live broadcasts called 'On Track GP'
  • Will allow fans from all over the world to 'beam in' to the studio and contribute

Context: GFN's AFTV has racked up more than one billion views and 1.5 million subscribers in ten years, while its newer DR Sports has more than 250,000 subscribers after just two years of production.

Comment: Lyle said: “F1 fans are some of the most knowledgeable sports fans around. We can’t wait to hear their views, reactions and banter. Naturally, I’ll be keeping an eye on Lewis Hamilton’s progress this year – let’s hope he can mix it with Verstappen and Leclerc on the podium in 2023.”

Coming next: 'On Track GP' will debut at the first race of the season, the Bahrain Grand Prix on 5th March.
