Overton’s has signed a naming rights deal with Nascar, motorsport's preeminent stock-car racing organisation.
The marine and water sports superstore will be the title sponsor of both the premier both the premier Monster Energy Cup Series and second-tier Xfinity Series races at 2017 New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS).
The races will be run over the weekend of 14th to 16th July, with the Xfinity race on the 15th and the Monster Energy Cup Series taking place the following day.
“To have Overton’s come on board to sponsor not just one of our July NASCAR races, but two, is just awesome,” said David McGrath, executive vice president and general manager of the NHMS. “It shows the commitment to the product and racing that we deliver here at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.“
Elsewhere in Nascar, Omnicraft will be the primary sponsor of Ryan Blaney’s number 21 Wood Brothers Racing (WBR) Ford Fusion for the FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway on 18th June.
The Ford-owned brand will implement a bespoke paint scheme for the race. Although the financial terms of the one-race deal have not been revealed, current trends in Nascar would suggest that Omnicraft will be paying the WBR between US$400,000 and US$800,000.
"It's always fun to drive the No. 21 with a new paint scheme," said driver Ryan Blaney. "This one is even more special since being able to service all makes and models with quality parts is important to Ford and Lincoln dealers as well as Quick Lane Tire and Auto Centers."
