Molex has joined forces with Mouser Electronics to sponsor the Faraday Future Dragon Racing team for the 2016/17 edition of the Formula E electric motorsport series.
The agreement represents the third time the two electronics specialists have worked together, having combined to back a team in each of Formula E’s initial three seasons to support all-electric auto racing and electric vehicle technology innovation.
“With advanced mobility at the heart of both Formula E and Faraday Future Dragon Racing, we are proud to contribute to the team’s success and demonstrate our commitment to developing innovative products for the automotive industry,” said Mark Rettig, global marketing director for Molex.
“We are excited about the significant progress being made with this revolutionary motorsports venture and are delighted to help toward the goal of advancing electric vehicle technology and achieving sustainable transportation.”
Faraday Future Dragon Racing are currently seventh in the FIA Formula E World Championship, with the next race scheduled to take place in Paris on Sunday.
