Reigning Formula One champions Mercedes have unveiled UK sports travel operator Thomas Cook Sport as an official supplier.
The deal will see Thomas Cook Sport offer fans a unique Formula One experience at this season’s Grands Prix in Monaco, Great Britain, Italy and Abu Dhabi.
Thomas Cook Sport already offers travel packages to 14 races around the world, and its partnership with the UK-based motorsport outfit is designed to encourage more interaction with the team by providing fans with tailor-made Mercedes experiences.
Fans will be able to purchase the ‘Thomas Cook Sport Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport Experience’ alongside their existing travel plans. The offer will include a drinks reception at a unique location before the Grand Prix, a Q&A with a Mercedes team member, team merchandise gifts and additional exclusives.
“This is the start of a great relationship between ourselves and Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport,” said Rob Slawson, head of Thomas Cook Sport. “We’re incredibly proud of our Formula One product and this new agreement with one of the sport’s most successful teams offers a brand new exclusive experience for a limited number of fans at each event.
“It’s going to be a fantastic opportunity for us to work alongside one of the most successful Formula One teams of recent years. With unique access to exclusive experiences, we’re working closely with Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport to offer an incredible and unforgettable trip for Formula One supporters who want to travel the world and say they were there at the best sporting events in 2018.”
The new Formula One season got underway in Australia on Sunday, with Mercedes drivers Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas finishing second and eighth respectively.
