French sports channel L’Equipe has renewed its rights deals for motorsport’s FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) and the FIM Endurance World Championship (EWC) motorcycling series.

The deal with the WEC will cover the 2018/19 season, while the agreement with the EWC includes two seasons of coverage until 2020.

"We are very pleased that L'Equipe continues its excellent coverage of the FIA WEC for the Super Season, thanks to its TV programmes and OTT services," said Gérard Neveu, general manager of the WEC. "We have a large French presence on our starting grid and drivers and teams from the highest levels of motorsport. It's going to be an extraordinary season of competition and twists. French enthusiasts will be able to discover it in the clear thanks to the L'Equipe chain."

L’Equipe has shown both championships for the past two seasons. Earlier this year, the broadcaster also renewed a rights deal for the World Rallycross Championship for another three years until 2020.
