The FIA World Rallycross Championship (WRX) has announced a partnership with Williams Advanced Engineering.

The company will serve as the sole single battery supplier to the FIA Electric World Rallycross Championship from 2020 to 2023.

The news comes after the FIA in February confirmed that the WRX will switch to electric cars from the beginning of the 2020 season.

Craig Wilson, managing director of Williams Advanced Engineering, said:  “Having powered successfully the entire FIA Formula E grid since its inception our team looks forward to delivering their world-class capabilities to all the competitors in the Championship.”
