Formula One team Ferrari have announced a multi-year partnership with the Lenovo Group Ltd, beginning with the 2018 season.

The agreement will see the Chinese technology company’s branding feature on the side wing and front suspension of the Ferrari 2018 single-seater, as well as on team uniforms and the arm of drivers’ racing suits.

In addition, Lenovo will provide its products, including ThinkPad laptops and Miix tablets, for use by the motorsport team on and off the track.

The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Gianfranco Lanci, corporate president and chief operating officer of Lenovo, said: “Lenovo is happy to partner with Scuderia Ferrari and to get close to one of the most iconic global brands, recognized for excellence in design, performance and innovation - all values that are important to Lenovo. The combination of the global platform of Formula One and the Ferrari brand is the perfect opportunity for us to further grow the Lenovo brand on the world stage.”

The 2018 Formula One season gets underway with the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne this weekend.
