Jim Cassidy, a 25-year veteran in the motorsports industry is NASCAR’s Chief International Officer. He is charged with growing the NASCAR brand internationally, including all competition and commercial endeavors.
Cassidy oversees NASCAR’s current international series – NASCAR Pinty’s Series in Canada, NASCAR PEAK Mexico Series and NASCAR Whelen Euro Series. In addition to focusing on growth of these properties, Cassidy is leading an intensive effort to expand the NASCAR brand to other major global markets with a focus on growing its portfolio of racing in the Asian-Pacific and Latin America regions.
He also oversees all areas of Multicultural Development, including driver development, crew member development and other core programs that introduce students, young professionals and influencers to the sport.
Cassidy’s responsibilities have grown consistently during his NASCAR tenure after starting in 2000 as an operations manager and beginning his career at the “grass roots” level of the sport.
